Like the song, "I was born in East L.A.". Married with two children at twenty-six, I became a foster parent and a group home for teenage girls, who had been abused, raped or molested by their real fathers or stepparents. Later, as a group home for six, I took in boys with psychological and criminal problems. After eight years and thirty-eight kids, it was time to close that chapter and open the next. What I had learned was that as much as I would have liked to change their life forever, I truly was only a port in a storm, that whatever problems they had, when they came, were the same bag they would be picking up when they left - their old family and life. Blood is thicker than water.

In between the chapters of my work, I had baby, was divorced and discovered there were a lot of men with sexual problems out there. So I did my own personal study and decided to help them. I became a hypnotist "Specializing in Intimate Enhancement", discovering the mental causations for men's sexual dysfunctions and was able to help them with hypnosis. My phone rang twenty-four hours a day seven days a week for the next eight years. Then I decided to close that chapter to open another. As much as I would have liked to have solved their problems forever, when I came back, after ten years, I discovered that the same men were having the same kinds of problems. I was a just a port in the storm of their lives. I could fix their intimate problems, but that didn't fix their lives.

Now I work with men and women as a spiritual guide for relationships. I still may only be a port in the storm, but sometimes that's all we need
